As a companion to my earthquake emergency video, I will also have a written description of my plan. As you saw in the video, I have packed a box full of important necessities and supplies in case, God forbid, a really bad earthquake were to strike the Los Angeles area. As you can see, my survival kit includes a couple of gallons of water for myself and my family and also crackers, sugar, and canned foods. Canned foods are really good to stock up on because canned foods take a long time to expire. Sugar doesn't expire as well and I'm pretty sure crackers take a long time to expire as well. Besides food and water, my kit also includes medical supplies such as band-aids and bandages just in case someone gets hurt as well as alcohol to disinfect cuts. There is also some regular medicine like alka-seltzer and nyquil in case someone gets a cold or something. Finally since the kit will be by the door, we have a fire extinguisher just in case a fire arises. Extra clothes and blankets were packed elsewhere.
The following is my plan for meeting up if in earthquake were to occur. Since my sister and I are in the same school, we would leave together to pick up my brother at his elementary and then meet my parents at my grandma's house. We would all wait there together until it would be necessary to leave somewhere else and then we would all get into our truck and go to my uncle's house where it would probably be safer in Palmdale. And that is my Earthquake Survival Kit.
